Library Suggestions Please

Monday 17 November 2003

Make it your library

We’re shortly going to go on a book buying spree to spend our library
grant for this year. We’ve got to spend the full grant to ensure
we get the same next year. So, we’re looking for suggestions from
members for new books.

If there’s anything you’d like, and it’s not in the

current catalog
, then fill out the

book request form
. This year we’re particularly looking
to expand our reference library, so we’re looking for good quality
technical books..

“Email Filtering – Why and How”

Doolin Technologies is presenting second series of technology
talks each week in October and November. The talks will
take place in the Resident’s Lodge of the Earl of Kildare

welcome to attend, and entry is free.

The seventh session will be entitled “Email Filtering – Why and How”
and will be presented by Padraig Brady. It will take place

the organisation has experience in or areas that they
want to know more about.

TODAY!

The second Netsoc tutorial of the year will be hosted today by Aidan ‘Jipe’ Lynch, in room AP0.13 in Aras

officers and demonstrated in the first Netsoc tutorial last week.

In this tutorial, Jipe will be reviewing what was covered last week and then moving on to some more advanced
UNIX commands. For the second hour, time and Root permitting, Jipe will move on to the basics of
setting up your website with Netsoc.

We strongly encourage all new members to attend the tutorial, as well as any existing members who feel the
need to brush up on your knowledge of UNIX.
