My name is Elena, I'm 24 and I work as a software developer. I live in Hampshire, England.

How I spend my spare time:

• Contemplating things.
• online. Browsing the internet. Chatting on MSN.
• reading. I love fantasy and science-fiction, though I'll read most other stuff as well.
• listening to music. I don't have a particular genre that I prefer. I listen to a wide range of music.
• programming (sometimes). I played around with php-database stuff a while ago. View my php interface to a mysql database. The code, sans username and password, is here.
• Playing computer games. I LOVE gaming. If I buy a new game that's good I will play it for 14 hours a day until I'm finished.
• Planning on my next computer upgrade. Can one take the nerdy thing too far? Nah. I think not.
• Playing with my cats.
• Having interesting conversations with my friends.
• going to the cinema
• Singing.
• writing stuff. I enjoy writing, but besides updating this website I don't really have the time. I do plan to write more stories in the future, but for now, my creative writing abilities will be expressed in my blog. I don't have a comments feature and I don't plan to implement one anytime soon. • knitting cool scarves. It's all I can knit. But they ARE cool.
• going to pubs with my friends. I can hold my liquor. I've drunk until I felt sick, but I've never been unable to remember what happened, or done crazy things that I wouldn't normally do.
• I used to like art. Here's something that I drew. I'm going to get back into art and I'll put up more stuff in the future.
• Photography. I love taking photos. I like beauty, and I try to capture that in my photos.
• cooking. I like to call my style "the Elena style". It's a mix of Chinese, Indian, and Western flavours. I've recently forayed into dessert-making. I can bake a very nice chocolate cake.
• I enjoy a good debate. I like to read about and discuss theology, world news, science, politics, anything really. I enjoy reading about historical and current events.
