How to use this applet:
The Differentiator below allows you to enter sample values for U and V.
It will then take you through The Product Rule of differentiation, step by step.
To initialise the Differentiator, press "Step 1".
Then simply follow the on screen prompt to completion.

If you are asked for the derivative of a product, where Y = U*V and
U and V are both functions of x, you use the formula:
dy/dx = u.dv + v.du
