The maths of binomial expansions are relatively simple.

A binomial expansion is of the form (x+y)n or (axb + cyd)n

The coefficients are the result of the calculation

A term in a binomial expansion is characterised by the following formula:

where n is the power of the binomial and r is the term.

Calculating the full binomial expansion is just a matter of generating each term in the expansion, one at a time.
