Problem with linking spread to helix. Helix plugins are compiled using /MD flag while the spread libraries were origionally compiled using /ML flag.

Many problems.

Copied sock_strerrror(int) from somewhere on the web and everntually got spread compiling from source (not everything, but the libraries at least).
