Code
Python
- growlwarn
A simple script to repeat the last Growl notification. Requires the Growl python bindings.
- getEircomkey
A pythonised version of THAT key generation issue with Eircom access points. This program is based on someone else’s code but it has the handy dandy extra of using extra tools for both Mac OS X and Linux to detect nearby Eircom access points and generating WEP keys for them. If you forget them that is. Requires Python 2.4. You philistine.
- o2smshorror
Seriously, don’t use this script, please. It’s obnoxious and lame and was written as a half-bet.
- OS X MAC spoof-checker
Really simple tool to check for hosts that may be performing MAC spoofing and list them, simply using Python and /usr/bin/arp.
- FYPgen
This script was written to create an RSS feed for the final year project page on the Trinity College Computer Science department page. It’s pretty generic though and will simply update an RSS feed whenever a page changes. Hook this into cron and you can use it to keep an eye on whatever static page you’re looking for. I make no apologies for the crappiness of the hardcoded RSS generation.
- Twithey
Twithey is a lame little idea that popped into my head one day that I couldn’t let go of - a Twitter client that runs on the command line in a manner not unlike the famous Redbrick/Netsoc/everywhere-else command hey.
Perl
- lastfmgrab
a script to solve the age old problem of not being able to spam people with your listening habits when connected to IRC from a remote machine. Requires a last.fm account.
Misc
- lolo2sms
This is even stupid-er than the o2smshorror. It does the same thing except using bash and curl.
