Tutorials

Throughout 2007 and 2008 I ran tutorials for new and not-so-new members of Netsoc. I covered a bit of generic intro-to-UNIX stuff, a few blitz-esque courses on Python and some stuff for Junior Admins of the future. I’ve included flyers that I did for Netsoc for future use/bastardisation. You can get at all of this here.

FYP Alerter

When FYPs are announced there seems to be a bit of a mad dash for some. TCD’s computer science department tends to collate a per-supervisor list of pages that ends up as the epitome of broken HTML (At the time of writing, the page contained three <HTML> tags and five </HTML> tags). This makes it a serious pain to parse. To make do, I wrote a script to produce this RSS feed.

About

Hugh Nowlan is recovering from Trinity Collge Dublin’s Computer Science course, while undergoing said course. He writes code, makes music and takes photos.

If you’re really THAT interested you can find out a bit more about me at the various sites I have surrendered spurious personal information with below.

I work here. I have worked here and here. I admin for these nice people. I go to college here. It sucks.

If Inky did album covers and I did bad grindcore this would be me.
