LaTeX Tutorial

We are now fully into essay season, and the majestic LaTeX tutorial
has come out of hibernation to aid all students troubled by the
never-ending amount of fiddly word processors. Its cover pages, headings and
graphs! The automatically generated contents page, the maths equations
so easily written and the english essays wonderfully formatted! It is an
important tool for any aspiring academic or simply any intrigued
student. It is also easily installed and used on whatever operating
system you like.
So, yeah, LaTeX is pretty great. And our gentle introduction will show
you how to use it!

Django Tutorial

We’ll be holding a tutorial on the python-written web framework, Django
this Thursday. As the developers themselves say: “The Web framework for
perfectionists with deadlines”. Web frameworks make everything
involved in web development far easier, from efficient web sites to fun
web apps. Django especially makes this clean and pragmatic.
Unless you were looking for a tutorial on the guitarist. I’m sure we can
provide that too…

Sysadmin Tutorial

We apologise for the sudden cancellation of the Sysadmin Tutorial last
Thursday. Our sysadmin had a sudden change of heart and decided he
didn’t want his appendix after all. Now that they have been successfully
divorced, his appendix has moved onto bigger and brighter things,
hopefully starring in a thesis near you soon.
We hope to go ahead with a post-general-anaesthetic tutorial after
reading week.
