DDoS talk

Posted by:duggles Posted on:Nov 26,2014

Over the course of the last 15 years, distributed denial of service attacks have established themselves both as a massive force for damage to communications and business and as a controversial form of speech. This week’s talk will discuss some of the history of politically motivated denial of service attacks while also describing the Deflect system, an open source DDoS mitigation platform for civil society and political organisations.

We’re happy to have a previous Netsoc member, Hugh (nosmo on IRC), giving this talk. It will be on Thursday 27th November at 6pm in the Maxwell Theatre. We hope you’ll come along to what promises to be an interesting talk!
